Italian Forces

The listed Italian destroyers all sailed with the fleet according to "Chronology of the War at Sea 1939-1945. "The Naval War in the Mediterranean 1940-1943" states that only twenty actually took part in the battle; the remainder retired early due to mechanical failures and fuel shortages. Four destroyers that retired to refuel rejoined the fleet during the battle.

Neither source details which destroyers were present during the battle. So, all the destroyers that sailed with the fleet are listed here.
