An "Arsenal" factory design, this weapon was originally designated ZIF-91 and was ready for trials in 1973. This is a recoil-operated automatic weapon using a water-cooled barrel. It uses an optronic analog control system called "Lev-114" and the gun sight is called "Kondensor-214A".
The entire weapon system is designated AK-100, while the gun itself is designated A-214.
